The NPSC delivers place-based analytics and data-informed community engagements for crime prevention and public safety in transparent, civilly just, and sustainable ways. NPSC empowers local community stakeholders to improve public safety.

2) Does the NPSC charge a fee?

There are no fees to participate or to gain access to NPSC resources. 

3) How can my organization join the NPSC?

4) How does the NPSC help improve public safety in Newark?

The NPSC empowers community-based organizations with actionable information to prioritize resources where needed the most. The NPSC assists community groups by proposing crime risk reduction programs that can affect positive changes in their communities.

5) What can community stakeholders expect from the NPSC?

As a community partner, you can expect to receive updated crime statistics and risk assessments for places throughout the City of Newark. NPSC provides objective and evidence-based insights that are grounded and meaningful to the local contexts.

6) What can I do as a community partner organization?

NPSC partner organizations are encouraged to actively participate at NPSC meetings to share their ideas and vision for a safer Newark. The success of the NPSC depends on the collective effort of all its partners to develop sustainable solutions for Newark's most pressing crime problems and to contribute their resources and expertise to address these problems. 

7) Are there any requirements to join the NPSC?

All Newark-focused community organizations can request to join the NPSC. 

8) Is the Public Safety Collaborative solely Newark based, or can it be replicated in other cities?

Currently, the NPSC only serves the Newark community. However, the NPSC model has been replicated in other cities across the country. Contact us for more information.
